Why does Yahoo have to gather your personal info?

Question

They say they take facts not names ect but so does spyware. No different according to spam i started getting spam in my bulk folder on yahoo which I hardly ever use but in last year in 1 day there is over 600 spam mailers?

i think that spyware like anything on the internet is something you can prevent with careful understanding... i have three spyware scanners and i have 4 yahoo spam messages.... i keep my self protected... you have to be aware of what you are searching and linking to... i don't think it is automtic that you will get spam with yahoo...
