Question:

Why does Yahoo! music only play a 30 second clip?

Instead of the video or song playing, there is a 30 second clip of the song/video. The only way to hear the whole song is to buy it, I believe. Does anyone know why? And where can I LEAGALLY hear the entire song (just once) for free?

  1. Yeah, it's what the other guy said, illegal, that's the limit. But most of the time you can go to that band's myspace profile and listen to the entire song.

  2. The reason why you can't listen to the entire song is because it would be illegal and there is no website that does the job.

A few years earlier www.mp3.com had that kind of feature.

  3. www.imeem.com, www.projectplaylist.com, www.deezer.com for music and www.youtube for videos. hope that helps

  4. Because they are greedy people that want a ton of money!

  5. They want you to join Yahoo Music unlimited.

    http://music.yahoo.com/ymu/

Yahoo! Music Unlimited: $71.88 per year, billed annually (that's just $5.99 per month); or $8.99 per month

Compare that to Rhapsody and Napster

Rhapsody Unlimited, which lets you to listen to unlimited music on your PC, is available for $12.99/month.

Napster starts at $9.99 a month

If you install the Rhapsody player they give you 25 free plays every month if you only want to hear something once or so a month.

  6. Launchcast music,

    it's yahoo.
