Why does a chihuahua clingy while it is in heat?

my 3 year old chihuahua is acting clingy towards me and she's in heat, Why is that? could it be because i'm 9 months pregnant?

It's because she's in heat, my Lab is the same way, she's always extra clingy just before and during heat.

Perfectly normal, once the heats over she should go back to her normal self.

I doubt it has anything to do with you being pregnant. Dogs like the companionship that their owners provide for them. And maybe at this point in time, she feels a little less secure being in heat. Don't sweat it, and hurry up and have that baby! 9 months pregnant, sheesh! ;)

i think shes clingy coz she knows your going through hard times coz dogs are smart they no stuff that we dont
