  1. Holidays?

  2. when they use the potty they lock the doors

  3. In case they get robbed maybe. It's a good way to keep people in/out.

  4. I've always wondered that, but this last weekend the store near my house locked her doors with a note that said be back in a minute..she was using the bathroom.

That is freay to go into an empty store....always wonder who went where with who and how and why!

  5. It is because this way the employee can lock the doors so they can go to the bathroom when there is no other workers around.

  6. Many convenience stores have automatic locks on the doors for the security of their night employees.  If they see someone acting suspicious, they can lock the doors and call the police.  This keeps them safer, especially if they are alone at night.  Also, incase there is an emergency that forces the store to close suddenly, such as a power outage.  Generally the lock is installed before the store officially opens so that it can be stocked and ready for the grand opening, but also be secure so that people don't steal the stuff before the store officially opens.

Another reason might be that the store was not originally open 24/7 and had a lock because it used to close at night.  It doesn't make sense to remove the lock.

  7. so no one can go in and rob them?? did you really have to ask??

  8. some 24hr convience stores close from 3am-5am to clean or change shifts,
