if you take a flourescent light bulb and place it on the ground next to high power lines, it will gllow

does anyone kno y?

  1. This is due to induction phenamena. Flourecence is caused by any charge carrier induced and excites the material for the glow.


  2. the neon gas inside the tube gets enough energy to make the tube glow from the voltage difference (known as potential difference) between the earth and the high tension power lines
