  1. Protein helps heal the skin.  Our skin and connective tissues are made largely of proteins, and these must be replaced when they are damaged.

  2. to help in the healing process.

  3. Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. You also use protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

Along with fat and carbohydrates, protein is a "macro nutrient," meaning that the body needs relatively large amounts of it. Vitamins and minerals, which are needed in only small quantities, are called "micro nutrients." But unlike fat and carbohydrates, the body does not store protein, and therefore has no reservoir to draw on when it needs a new supply.

The truth is, we need less total protein that you might think. But we could all benefit from getting more protein from better food sources. Also  like what you said the person who had surgery after or have been severe burn need more protein to heal their wounds  and also to regenerate their skin . (remember that protein builds and repair tissue and skin that have been damage)

  4. Simple speaking, Proteins are building blocks of body, its required for producing new cell.

  5. thats how the body heals itself
