Question:

Why does a television seem to be louder at night?

And no, this question does not imply that I'm turning the volume up at night! Actually, I did a simple experiment: usually, my television (a Samsung LCD) is at an unaltered volume throughout the day, even at night. However, at night it sounds much louder. Why? Maybe it's my imagination, or perhaps I just need more sleep ... Thanks!

  1. Its because silence is more, and you would have closed all the doors and windows...

  2. in the morning there are lot more sounds arond u than in the night..the TV sound gets damped when it mixes with the other noises. In the night there is lesser noise to interfere with the TV sound, so it seems louder

  3. because at night there is no noise but on the other hand in day time there is much noise
