  1. minimum 5 days is needed  to complete all 4 innings and get a result, but as it is played at a stretch now, it wasn't like this before, in the 19th century and in the beginning of the last century, there used to be a day's break after 3 days, then again the game would start, so a game took a week to end!!

  2. I wish I knew this one!

  3. good question

It  was  unlimited before,as long  as someone didn't win,it went on.

But  to put a limit on time spent on a single game,it was made

    a  5 day match.

  4. To be honest I'm not too sure but I do know that generally about 5 days is needed to complete 4 full innings. Thus if it rains during a match, by having 5 days the match can still be finished in time. That's just from my logic, not fact
