My yahoo group of which I am the owner has suddenly become restricted stopping me from gaining entry to it. Why has this happened and is there anything I can do to

get into my group. This is an online fan club with 40 members. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

  1. Sounds like some got into the management tools and locked you out of your group or transfer ownership. If you have other moderators contact them to get your group back or have them check who is listed as the owner now. That really is sad that may have happened.

  2. If you gave a moderator that privilege , he or she may have done it. If not, I'd contact Yahoo Customer care for more info:

  3. ***no, that wouldn't make since that someone stole it, being it says it doesn't exist. it is possible there was a complaint of TOS violation, but not that long ago groups were having this glitch, and it didn't last all that long. I'd report it ASAP

when people steal groups, they do so only by gaining access to your ID and password, if you had no moderators. those who are sneaky enough to sneak into an ID is how they do this, and the first thing they do is change the password- so you cant gain access to it. that does not happen as often as one may think or suggests. your group does not sound like a target either. I'd send in that form. people have also recently had the issue of invalid e-mail addresses, also a glitch to be reported***

restricted in what manner? what does it do- errors say when you go to your group? are you sure you're logged into your Yahoo ID per the web page?

did you have other moderators with the priviledge to delete the group? there is a glitch that causes a page to not exist, also an URL change will do this, if some one else had that priviledge. I posted the help link, send it to yahoo and include the groups name, and web address. hopefully it's a temp glitch

  4. Have you ever given anyone else moderator type powers that might allow them to change anything in the settings?
