  1. it can get in ur system quicker

  2. just like drinking the less u have in ur stomach the more it affects it

  3. Many Rx's require/suggest that you take with food or milk.  There are those Rx's that do not require that you eat or drink anything when taking it.

As for your Addrall, the reason that you feel it more on an empty stomach is because it is absorbed into your body quicker.  If you take med's with a full stomach the med's are absorbed slower due to digestion of whatever you've already eaten.

Word of caution.  If you do not eat or drink as directed you run the risk of ulcers and other negative side effects...just be careful and follow your Dr's direction.

  4. Because it hits you a lot harder since there is nothing in your stomach to dillute it. It has nothing to mix with or to break it down.

Be careful though it can cause problems and is usually recommended to take food first.

Also you could feel sick if you dont eat anything first.

One more thing, try taking it with a piece of bread that usually works good to help it have something to attach to and absorb
