Is it because Earth Travels from West to East and at a speed faster than aircraft it self?

  1. Actually the wind favors the west to east coast travel by plane.  It is just the opposite of what you are saying, BUT because of time zone shifts, there is an illusion that the time is shorter going west.  You land only an hour or two after you took off (but your elapsed time is longer than when you fly back east).
