Why does airplane food sucks?

We all pay too much money for an airplane ticket and the food that they serve sucks!! I have travel in first class and economy and both of them are tasteless.

Yes it happens. They solution is to try other airlines. Definitely you will love one of them.

All of that food is loaded at the time that you get on the plane.  It has to be compact and able to be reheated quickly, and served to 300 people.  All from galleys smaller than the average bathroom  It also has to not offend less adventurous palates.

Pretty tough call.  I doubt there are many chefs that could produce fabulous food in those conditions.

It really depends who you go with. I went with Thomas Cook and I have to agree there. But when I went with this other less unknown airline, the food we got was brilliant. It is the airline you go with, they give you different foods

I dont know about that, I went to london very recently on air canada from vancouver (economy class) and they gave us 2 meals, I thought they were both really good, even better than the eurostar train between london and paris (first class). I dont know I thought everyone else liked it too, but it may have been that I havent had a meal on the plane since like the 1990's
