  1. A woman with power makes them feel inferior!  The Sigmund Freud syndrome.

  2. I wish Obama choice a white female VP.

But this is not race for VP. This is about the President.

check link about how important VP selection is.

  3. Actually it is about the best candidate for the job.  Obama has better judgment than McCain.  I don't know why you see the issue as racial vs gender?

Edit: Funny how the republican always bring up race and then try to blame others for their hate tactics.

  4. Their over the racist part just not the sexist!

  5. The DNC are sexist!!! When Shirley Chisholm ran for President in 1972, she said she got more opposition as a woman, than for being Black

    Doesn't

    Nominate

    Chicks

  6. Their sexist obviously. But thats being stereotypical, so don't rely on what I said, I was pointing it at the ones who would, I think neither of the people running for President should be President. They all suck and are going to get us killed.

  7. Clearly they're just racists.

But then again we all knew that from the very beginning.

They care nothing for America or equality, just getting theirs.

  8. Everyone needs to focus on the ISSUES! Vote on the issues that matter and will effect change in your life. Healthcare, bringing an end to the war in Iraq, finally getting Bin Laden, fixing this damaged economy, etc, etc. Focusing on wedge/divisive issues is a distraction from the REAL issues to get a Bush 3rd term (McCain-Bush). Don't vote against your economic interests!!

    Obama 08!

  9. I would hope that those who vote based on race or gender would somehow make a wrong turn on the way to the polls.  Better yet, bring back literacy tests.

  10. I'm voting for Obama, but I can't say I'm speaking for all Obama voters here. I read somewhere not long ago that 60% of those voting for Hillary said that race had at least something to do with their voting decision. In my mind (I'm white), that means they are closet racists and can't possibly imagine a black man leading our country. Maybe they think if a black guy goes in office then all of a sudden CNN will become BET. People are very strange in their assumptions sometimes.

In any event, my decision has nothing to do with whether I would have a woman or a black man in office. In fact, I think it's a disgrace that our entire election has been clouded by the fact that there's this "historic" moment in history where we will either elect our first black president or first woman president. I find it a sad statement of the priorities of our country when we don't view the candidates simply as candidates, look at their views on the issues and their record, and vote accordingly. And for the record, I think it is a digusting political ploy for McCain to have taken Palin. He did it for no other reason than to try and steal the female closet racists from the democratic party. I say let them leave, they're closet republicans anyway.

I believe that Obama is the best candidate for the job, period. It doesn't influence my decision whatsoever that he is black, that he ran against a woman, that McCain took a woman as VP, or that McCain is an old white guy. I vote based on who I believe can lead this country, and I believe that to be Barack Obama.

  11. He tickles their leg.

  12. I guess there is a more bias against women then against pretty black men.

Sure can tell with dumping Hilary and then all the rock throwing at Sarah.

It is only a sin to be a racist.   It's good to be sexist and ageist.

  13. i'd rather see a non repuke in office clinton or obama paeople chose obama thats fine with me

  14. It's sexism. Lot's 'o' historical precedent for it.

Back in the 1860's.. there was a coalition for Universal Suffrage that would have erased all racial and gender barriers to voting, it would have made the United States the first nation to recognize women's voting rights.

Fredrick Douglas did a political back stab on Susan B. Anthony by dropping out of the coalition and settling for the 15th amendment. Women wouldn't be allowed to vote for another 50 years.

  15. lol...the right has all the bases covered--had hillary won the nomination, the question would be "why are the dems racist in that they would rather see a woman in the white house rather than a black man?" Good campaign strategy--attack the left on everything, make stuff up, keep repeating the attacks and hope something sticks. Fortunately for america, we are all not as blatantly -- -- -- -- as you.

  16. i believe the correct term is african american

  17. Did't you know Obama says he is going to fix everthing that is wrong in their lives.

  18. The worst kept secret in the Democratic party is that sexism is alive and well. They just don't believe a woman can handle the job. McCain made a great choice for VP, but look at how they attack her and even make up rumors. Incredible.

  19. As an independent I could care less about what the race or gender of a candidate is, but in Palin's case - absolutely not qualified, she even said herself she doesn't know what the job is!

Clinton - I don't like her, but she probably is quite qualified.

  20. Better qualifications and not racist. Hillary would have been fine.

  21. i would rather see Obama in office not bc of his color or his s*x, but bc i think hes the best person for the job!!

  22. The majority of "Obamabots" are supporting Senator Obama for what he stands for, not for his race.  Likewise, Senator McCain has chosen Governor Palin as his running mate for what she stands for, not simply because she is a woman.  If you consider only those issues which affect our country's future rather than the issues of race, gender or age, you will hopefully come to the conclusion that McCain-Palin is the best choice in 2008.

  23. they think a crooked chicago politician is somehow a change
