Why does an eclipse has some much influence on nature?

I have this question for a school project.. but can't find the answer.. can anyone help?

  3. They really have very little influence.  It has been observed that during a solar eclipse the temp falls just a little.  Also some wildlife may be temporarily fooled into thinking night is falling but there is realy no SIGNIFICANT effect.
