Why does an iron have a setting for permanent press? ?

I've ironed the same shirt like 15 times! There is nothing PERMANENT about it. Why? Why? Why?

Permanent Press - Terms used to describe a garment which has been treated to retain its fresh appearance, crease, and shape throughout the life of the garment, Permanent press can be a misleading description, because no finish is completely permanent. Durable press or crease resistant are the more accepted terms, and are the ones approved by the Federal Trade Commission.

    Just as stated in the above description it doesn't mean that it won't wrinkle:-)
