Why does an old lady throw her teeth in the pool?

Question

Every Tuesday after bingo she sits there by the pool and throws her teeth in. Then she screams at me to take off my shirt and jump in the pool and get her teeth. I usually come back from the gym on Tuesdays, and I have to walk by the pool to get to my apartment.

Why does she do this?

What a funny scenario!  Okay, here is psychological analysis.  I don't know if you have children, but it seems that most babies go through a phase when they are sitting in their height chairs with food in front of them & will deliberately knock their food on the floor.  They get some kind of enjoyment out of watching mom or dad lean over and retrieve the food off the floor. Some will even go into fits of laughter over this event.   They will do this repeatedly until they receive some kind of negative consequence.  Even then, they will attempt to do it again at another time.  I think the old lady is having the same kind of fun watching you take off your shirt and retrieve her teeth.  I'm laughing right now just thinking about this.  You might have to implement some kind of negative consequence like don't get her teeth in order for her to stop; unless, of course, you don't mind diving in the pool every Tuesday to retrieve a pair of choppers.  Good luck!

Honestly, I can't believe she would throw her dentures in a pool and risk them breaking when they hit bottom. Dentures aren't inexpensive in the least.
