any type whatsoever,

i only ask this because i am not a fan, i find it restrictive and tbh very repetitive (this is just my opinion, not an attack) but it seems to be almost an obsession with some people and i was curious to know what it is about it that, well, interests you =]

  1. depends what type

    shonen

    -actiony

    shojo

    -romance

  2. Anime and I must include Manga, are a means of visual communication, rather than written. It's language is purely visual and although we in the West find the reversed visual format takes a bit of getting used to the dynamism of shape and form are quite fascinating.Anime and Manga exist in many different styles which are aimed at particular age and social groupings.Like any commercial form, comics, newspapers,tv,there are creative exponents and unfortunately those who produce cheap and inferior copies. At it's best it is an unparallelled art form, unfortunately, there are always poor imitations of any popular media phenomenon.

  3. i don't like it that much for the same reasons as you really and agree that it is quite repetitive...personally i would not consider it as a fine art since all it is is just cartoony people with over exaggerated proportions....

....i guess some young people might like drawing anime because they aren't able to draw people realistically, so that style is a much simpler version which is easier to get the hang of and make people think that they're good at it... :)
