Why does anyone think Philip Rivers is a good QB?

He made the Pro Bowl 2 years ago in his first season as a starter. That's something that I doubt Manning or Brady ever did. He isn't exactly ever gonna put up the big numbers, mostly because he's on a running oriented team. But I will tell you this, he showed everyone last year in the playoffs that he can play, despite an injury that no other QB would've played through. He definitely isn't the best QB in the league but he's got toughness and heart.

I can't answer your question. I have no idea why anyone thinks that punk is a good Quarterback. To me he's all hat.

He's not a great QB but a decent QB

He's decent. I don't watch him often since I'm not a fan of the Chargers. But the few games I have seen him play he didn't do bad.

He's decent...it's not like he's the worst QB ever.

Because of three things:

1.  Leader - as acknowledged by his team.

2.  Leader - as acknowledged by his performance - MVP in FIVE bowl games in college.  He does a lot more than throw the deep out, and he does that very well.

3.  Leader - played injured last year, without the best tailback in the league, and came within a hair of beating Peyton and Company on their own field.  Case closed.

he is a decent QB on an amazing team...the only reason he is good is b/c of L.T.

He's alright. Not terrible, not good. Adequate is the word that comes to mind. Lots of teams would love to have him because QB's seem to be running short these days.
