Why does astrology always say Scorpios get along with the Pisces?

I'm a Scorpio, and I've found the Pisces whom I know to be annoying, weak, and inept.

I think they do it based on the celestial sphere - those who are opposites on the zodiac from the sun are considered "compatible."

What is funny is that these "constellations" were divided up evenly into 12 parts on a circle BY PEOPLE...

oh my gosh thank you i feel the same way not about all pisces but a lot of them i don't know why they're supposed to be our perfect match. maybe were just too much of b*****s to pisces though i kinda feel for them i knew one and was kinda mean to him and wish i wouldn't have been because he was so sweet to me i just couldn't take his clingyness and always wanting to know what i was doing and who i was hanging out with annoying :/ maybe scorpios are too harsh for pisces haha  they should change compatibilities :)

I am a Pisces. I get along with every Scorpio I have ever met.

Try being friends or being in a relationship with a Taurus or Cancer.

The generalisations don't always work for everyone concerned! astrology is a science of combinations, lots of permutations and combinations have to be examined before predictions can be arrived at! Anyway, based on ststistics, signs sharing the same elemental influences (watery signs, both scorpio and pisces -- like cancer), stand a good chance of hitting it off well together, unless other planetary combinations and some other astrological considerations about them, create conflicts!

They are both ruled by the same element.  So they are similarly emotional and sensitive.  Though Scorpio covers their sensitivity with a tougher exterior than pisces.

I too am Scorpio and my long ago Pisces boyfriend annoyed the sh*t out of me.  He was a lazy, alcoholic sponge with many pipe dreams.

Its all about perception.  Most of the astrology and connections between different signs are true, but there are some circumstances where they are not true.  Your situation seems like an exception.

Hey fellow Scorpio! I understand what you mean about some Pisces individuals. They say we get along with them because we are water signs, which also includes Cancer.

Some Pisces can be pretty cool though - it also depends on your other planets and houses regarding your chart.

I'm a scorpio and my boyfriend is a pisces.  Every pisces i have met i have an instant connection with and i always end up having some sort of meaningful relationship whether it be dating or just friends.  But the thing i don't agree with is how scorpio and cancers are supposed to get along great,  I cant stand cancers, way to emotional and they are way to bitchy when rubbed the wrong way...

but i do agree with you on the argument that not all scorpios are supposed to get along with pisces..

i used to have a  scorpio friend in highschool. we were so close but we hated and loved each other. we had fights every two weeks or so. but we had this weird bond that we couldn't get out of...

it's a strange connection... i guess scorpios tend to have that a lot with pisces..

I'm a pisces, and I've known a few scorpios. I've gotten along pretty well with all of them, actually.

In my opinion, there are good and bad GENERAL developments of each sign. Pisces can develop into very lazy, disorganised, and overall useless individuals. They may whine and complain because they feel insecure. Similarly, scorpios can develop into hate-mongering little turds sprung out of their insecurity about themselves.

This can happen to all the signs in their own special ways, at least in my experience. Your chart doesn't define who you are to a tee - it gives you opportunities and possiblities for development, and according to the way people are brought up and their own free will they may develop in a more positive or more negative ways. I've been lucky to meet a LOT of strong pisces characters and humble scorpio characters.

You've probably met alot of the 'bad' pisces. Just ask yourself this - are you one of the 'bad' scorpios? You sound a little biased and hate-mongering, to be honest. Most scorpios I've known who start to say things like that are rather insecure and jealous people... but it is still possible you've met some 'bad' pisces.

I completely agree with Sparrowbird.  Spot on! You really can be whoever you want to be.  Your chart does not lock you in, it merely gives you insight into yourself.  I have a number of good friends that are thoughtful, caring, open-minded Scorpios and strong, independent Pisces.  I, personally, have loved all the Scorpios I've met and we have gotten along really well.  As far as dating goes, my soulmate and love of my life is a Scorp male.  He and I just connect on a level I've never connected with with another person, even my best friends.  I love that he has just as much emotion and passion as I have, that he's just as strong and independent as I am, and he's my partner in crime in exploring the world.  Now I have dated a number of other Scorp men besides him and it wasn't like this with all of them.  You have to look at the whole charts and also it depends on if people are channeling the good or bad sides of their signs.  But, I got along well with each of the Scorps I dated and their was chemistry with all of them.  So, I agree with Astrology that as a generality Scorpios and Pisces can get along quite well.  But, when you start to get into the specifics of people's individual lives, it depends on charts and whether they are channeling the "bad" or "good" side of their sign.

I'm a Scorpio, too. I have date  Pisces before worst relationship I have ever had. The only person I have to deal with that is a Pisces is my mother, and sometimes I need to take a break from her.

Traditionally it's said to be a good relationship (pisces-scorpio)

I'm a piscean and can't get along with scorpio people at all.
