When I'm watching avi files, the videos freeze while the audio goes on, and it happens every five minutes or so for a couple of seconds. Why does this happen? It's annoying and I can't watch the video without getting irritated. Is it because my computer is too slow, or because the file is too big or has errors?

  1. It's either your computer or the application you're using to watch the video. Try downloading VLC or CCCP and opening the AVI movie files in whichever one you choose.

If you have already tried that, chances are you computer is too slow to handle the video. You can try using a video converter to decrease the resolution and quality, which should clean things up a bit. You can also try converting to a file type more compatible with apps that run more smoothly on your computer if you still have problems.
