What are some of the hallmark differences, physiologically, b/w the 2 infections? What syptoms/signs would the two different types of infections exhibit?

  1. A bacteria is a foreign body. Virus' are  pieces RNA floating around that attach to cells with just the right coding. Once a virus is attached, it is now a permanent part of that cells structure. This is why diseases such as HIV (at least as of today) do not have a cure. Because the bacteria is a foreign body, the white blood cells will attack it.
