Why does ballons make a sound when u sit on them?

also....

we sis an experiment in class

we took a coke can and put it on fire. the water inside it was boiling and we could hear it. then the can was put in a jar of water upside down and the can inexplode or whatever u call it?

Why did it happen??

  1. The rubber in the balloon sticks and slips on the seat as it squashes, and that sticking/slipping makes some noise.

    The can had steam in it, and when you put it in cold water, the steam contracted (shrunk) and the air pressure around the can squashed it because it couldn't get in past the water.

    If you really want to see that, take a large can like a grease can with a s***w on lid, put a bit of water in it, boil it , then s***w the lid on and spray it with a hose, or just let it sit, it'll completely collapse on its own.
