Why does being happy often make people cry?

It sometimes happens to me, I feel a tear coming out , and a lump in throat as I will it away, I smile and feel all sentimental for example, when I see someone getting married and taking their vows or even if am not there, watching a family on tv get reunited and cry in a group, I feel happy for them and eyes go watery but its happiness why is it so?

because sometimes when we get overly happy, our mind/bodies don't exactly know what to do with ourselves, so we cry.

have you ever cried over nothing because you were overly tired? That's also because your mind doesn't know what to do with all it's emotions, so it can do nothing but cry.

Being overwhelmed also has something to do with it.
