Why does bitcomet not work on wifi?

i just got a D-link wireless setup in my house but everytime i try to download something with botcomet, nothing happens !!!!! it doesnt download, it just says connecting (in the bitcomet screen) and it doesnt do **** !!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!

  1. It is probably a port forwarding issue rather than a wifi issue.  It sounds like you just plugged directly into a cable model before, and now you are using a router.  I could be wrong, but if I am right, somebody please help this guy with port forwarding.
