Why does black hair dye wash out so fast now?

ok i got a question Why does black wash out so fast. My first time dying my hair black was grade nine and it lasted the whole year But now i get black and it usually washes out 3-4 weeks i even got a pro to do it and still washed out in the 3-4 week so is ther a way to keep it longer is ther somthing wrong O_o

Damaged hair won't hold dye as well as virgin hair.

Make sure to use shampoo that is color treated

dont wash your hair for two days after dyeing it and dont wash long at all it will last about a year

You didn't buy a very good brand of hair dye if it washed out very fast.

My friend dyed her hair black, and its still black. Maybe you didn't have the hair coloring in long enough.

Depends on the quality. More expensive one's last longer. Also it sounds like the first time you used a permanent and maybe this time you just used a rinse.
