  1. Blue suggests cool water or ice.

    Red suggests fire.

  2. Because of the heat radiation...

Heat radiation comes off in waves, like light,

and like light, there are different energy intensities.

    Red is actually low,

Something that is at the highest temperature would theortically be white, or light light blue.

we generally are limited to are means of heat and we can only heat metals to red hot. if we could get em hotter, they would appeal different colors. Red is just the first one we see.

The red of fire and blue of cold, doesn't have to do with it.

  3. for example: if u r sitting in the sun or doin some hard exercise, your face will be red and hot rite? may bethats one of the reason that they put it like that.

example #2: if u see a dead frozen body in a frozen pool, that person's face is blue and cold... maybe thats one of the reason that they put it like that.

  4. ever noticed how fire is red and water and ice is blue? isn't it funny how we never see the answers that are so obvious, we only seek the  not-so-obvious answers

  5. when your extremities get cold, they tend to turn blue. Fire is red, and hot.

  6. Ah! That's why I get scalded every time I take a shower!

  7. Fire is red. Water and ice are blue.

  8. Where did you see that blue stood for cold and red stood for hot? Are there certain things that are labeled that way? I've tried to think of some, but can't. I know I've heard the term"red hot"  and that a person was so cold they" turned  blue".
