Why does bp and heart rate differ when measured in a reclining position and in a standing position?

I was doing a report in health and I realized the change...

bp = blood pressure

  1. when ur standing, ur pumping blood to ur head against gravity, also the blood does not return quickly...in a reclining position, the venous return is slightly increased and the heart pumps blood eaisily into the head


  2. Your body must make changes to adjust for the added effort required to circulate (primarily to pump blood to the brain) when standing.  The autonomic changes include adjustments in blood pressure, heart rate, vascular tone, etc.
