  1. Very very very good question. Though after much thinking still i could not get it but i will try to explain.

    When butter or for that matter any greasy or fatty substance like oil is applied on paper the fatty acids present in it act like a solvent and dissolve the organic matter that paper is made up of. ( if you put too much of oil on paper it will get torn/dissolved after a while). I think so thats it because when we apply butter/oil it seems to spread like a film /solvent on it.


  2. Because of the oil that it contains. The oil saturates the natural fibres in the paper,and because it is so thin,it appears translucent. Bye

  3. don't know.....good question though.....I used to wonder why water, which is clear, would make colored paper darker....then i said wtf no one seems to know....lol, oh well

  4. because it's like 0.004 milimetres thick!!
