Why does clothing go loose when you wear it?

it happens to me all the time no matter what the fabric/material is. can someone please explain?

  1. If you buy clothing of a certain size, and in the course of wearing it you put on weight, the fabric is going to stretch and go out of shape, then once you lose the weight again, the garment is then too big for you, but some fabrics can stretch naturally without you changing. Before you buy a garment in the future, it might be a good idea to ask in the shop about the material.


  2. Moisture (whether in the air or from perspiration)relaxes the materials' fibers allowing them to become softer, and stretch out.
