Coffee is not that acidic. The pH for coffee is usually around 6, (7 being true neutral).

Coffee also has a coffee oil in it that can sometimes be irritating to the lining of the stomach...especially if you are nervous or have anxiety.

Dreadstar is right. You should probably eat something with your coffee to coat your stomach...though I don't recommend donuts as they add to the indigestion (though they are good!)

Maybe you're not eating enough doughnuts. Seriously, make sure you eat something with the coffee. There's a reason that toast, scones, muffins and yes, doughnuts are paired often with coffee.

Coffee is very acidic and can irritate ulcers and other stomach ailments.

I can't stomach coffee,but tea and even the occasional cola (gasp) is OK by me.

You could be sensitive to the caffeine or the dairy as well...
