Why does coke, and many other sodas taste disgusting in a can, but normal in a 2-liter bottle?

They taste 'dry' in cans, and just bad. In the about 16.9-20 fl oz. bottles, they taste sort of bad still, but not as bad as the can. Soda tastes the best when putting it in a cup from a 2-liter bottle, or even drinking out of that bottle.

No wait, actually it tastes best when you get it from a fast food place or something like that. It never tastes as good when you just buy it yourself.

  1. Maybe it's the can transferring a taste to you. You should try pouring it in a glass.

  2. I AGREE!

and it's because the soda is fizzy, and it has a reaction with the inside of the can that they are kept in - thus, "dulling" the taste of it  - i'm not really sure why it does this, but it does - best just to buy the big bottles of it - that also saves money too =] hope i helped

  3. i like coke in cans. ^_^

hate those from fastfoods because it tastes like half coke and half water in it. i love ice cold coke than coke with ice. ^_^

but whatever it is, it's still coke.. i still love it. ^_^

  4. i half agree

i think solo tastes much better from a can, but coke from the bottle

i dont know why either sorry

  5. I disagree, Glass is best, Then Cans and Last (Shudder) plastic bottles. I have tasted the bleak nasty oily taste from the dead dinosaur product. The higher the acid, the ranker the taste.

  6. actually, cans came first...by decades and decades...

Coke actually tastes best out of ice cold (from a cooler with slushy ice in it) glass bottles...
