Why does coldstone ask you "for here, or to go?"?

i remember once my parents asked them and they said it was something about tax or something, but i don't remember. whats the point anyways? they charge you more if you say one of them.

  1. amm, if it's 2 go they sometimes put a lid on it. but it doesnt matter, l start eating it as soon as i  get it.


  2. No tax on food to go. McDonalds is the same, but you can tax pop to go.

  3. they don't charge you either because if you say to stay then they give you your ice cream or food in a tray because if they didn't you may create a spill. if its a to go or you wanna eat it at home they would put your food in a bag but the taxes wont be different because the foods the same and your not ordering anything else
