Why does converse charge so much for shipping????

i want to buy a converses on the american store and get them shipped over to australia, but everytime i get a quote, the shipping amount is $110 for one pair.

people on ebay can send things for like $20

  1. They are probably sending the package FedEx or some other shipping company that provides a tracking number.  When you add the shoes to your cart and go to pay for them, it should tell you what shipping method they're using.

    People on ebay will mail a package for as cheaply as possible. For instance, the Postal Service can send a package like you're describing for as little as around $20 but who knows when it'll arrive? Global Express is $75, which is guaranteed 1-3 days. FedEx/UPS are more expensive and usually insurance is included; plus Converse probably charges a handling fee.  You pay for reliability...That's why. ;)
