mmmm, I LOVE the smell of cumin.

I literally will just open my jar of cumin just to smell it ever few days.

That say a lot about you but nothing about Cumin. Cumin is an aromatic herb that is prevalent in Indo Pak Cuisine and In Mexican and South American foods also. It is well loved by millions of poeple all over the world but obviously not by you. So-- avoid it.

As with any smell, it's all about personal preference. I have no problem with the smell of cumin and I use it quite often. It's a staple in Mexican dishes.
