  1. It would be the same as taking a large portion of your skin off!  A tree's bark is like its skin!


  2. The bark is the growing part of the tree, where nutrients are passed to the rest of the limbs.

  3. bark protects the xylem and phloem vessels in the trunk. cutting thru the bark can damage these vessels which are responsible for conducting water and minerals throughout the tree.

  4. well you see.. a tree is like a human being.... cutting its bark is like... cutting the legs of a human being off... which often will result in the killing of the human being... so therefore.. if you cut off the bark of a tree, u will be murdering it. (cutting the branches does not apply to this comparison lol)..
