  1. Survival of the fittest.

  2. prove it, if its dark and deep how do you know, last time i tried diving, things, ie the diverse scarpered as they can swim quick! think then ask!

  3. It's not true. In fact, biology tends to increase as the depth decreases. If you're in a submarine many hundred meters below the surface, you will find more marine creatures than at the top. In fact, most of the underwater crustaceans like shrimps are found right at the bottom of the ocean. Most are found the bottom because the sea floor serves as a resting place for them. Watch the Discovery Channel and you will get what I mean. Some aquatic organisms are not found at the bottom in the day, but will retreat to their hiding places at the bottom at night. Many aquatic organisms that scientists have not discovered till today are found at the bottom of the ocean.  Scientists have discovered less than 5 percent them, which means that about 95 percent of the undiscovered are still found at the bottom, much more than we know of.

  4. because less species can handle the adverse conditions-the pressure of the water, the temperature, the low level of light, less plantlife- its alot harder to live in these conditions than when your, for example, in Caribbean-like water where its warm and bright and near the surface.
