  1. The acid thins the mucuous lining, so it tickles until more mucuous forms.


  2. Basically it is just the acid and the sourness.

    When it burns, it is a good indicator of whether you have a sore throat or not.  

  3. probably because all of the acid in it and because lemons are so sour!!! lol, why not just drink lemonade?
