Why does electrical cord need to be uncoiled before use?

Besides the generation of electromagnetic interference and heat? (Just my guesses)

  1. they just want you to unpack it fully before use. to have electromagnetic interference, the cord would have to be rapped by a person with a phd. generally the length of the cord will generate more resistance (and heat) than can be magnetically induced by coiling the whole length of the cord (even if it is 50m long). very smart guess, though.

    if it is coiled then it heates itself (it is like many wires are heating each other) so it can hold much less current for long time.

    So if it uncoiled can take 10A( sample) then coiled it will take only (6-8)A

    there's no need to uncoiled..
