Even though at Daytona today none of the toyotas cracked the top 10 and you would think that track would be the biggest difference maker for horsepower advantages. Are they just trying to give people something to complain about?

  1. Anyone that says Totota is over rated is brain dead.  Within the next 2 years, Toyota will dominate nascar, like it or not.  Personally, I'm a chevy fan.

  2. I bet Jr wants to switch to Toyota

  3. Dyno tests have shown the Toyota engines put out the most horsepower at this time. There are many other factors that they have yet to catch up like aero packages, hanging the bodies, and suspention set up. Speed is important at Daytona but your car needs to be able to draft well.

  4. It's been stated many many times that Toyota is making within 20 horsepower more power than the big 3 at this time.

Nascar aside, you don't need to be a redneck to know Toyota's are lame librarian cars. They had to make an engine copy of what the big 3 have been doing since Nascars inception.

Chevy's been making small blocks since 1955. Ford invented the V8.

Dodge had the Hemi 38 years ago.

Toyota has never made anything cool. No one ever wrote a song "She's so fine my 1.9"!

  5. Toyota teams are winning races, plain and simple.  You can't argue with that.  What kind of car is leading the cup series, hummm.

  6. The bottom line is that Toyota designed an engine that was lighter, stronger and potentially able to produce more power than anything that the other three either are currently using or were planning to build.

I have heard in interviews, etc.  that there is about 30 more HP.  The other mfgr's were also given the opportunity to design and develop new engines as well.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  7. Toyota is more overrated than anything else in NASCAR right now. Kyle Busch is the only one who is doing well. Denny Hamlin is like 8th in points respectivley but he's not doing as good as he was before Martinsville.

  8. Don't listen to ESPN. . . everyone on there is crazy.  Seriously, I don't know.  I just hate all the commentators cuz to me, they are biased and tell things how they see them, not based on factual information.  Sorry, I'll be quiet now.

And to the person who says JR wants to drive a Toyota, are you kidding?  Jump OFF the bandwagon dude.  You aren't a racefan.  You aren't wanted here

  9. its true look at how kyle busch drove away and laped half the feild at Dover and no one had anything for him so toyota had found something nascar needs to go on an make it fair let chevy make some gains
