  1. who knows. but when i tell people i am one they almost fall over, because i am almost overweight! im 5 ft, 130 lbs, 21 yrs old

  2. Sweetie your not skinny, and if you follow a good exercise program I bet you look great. I think the skinny vegetarian myth started because so many people who have true eating disorders use "I'm a vegetarian" as an excuse not to eat and starve them selfs.

  3. Veggies have no fat, so you probably keep the weight off easider than most people.

  4. because people are stupid.

  5. I don't think that way, my cousin is a vegitarian and shes a nice weight...shes short probobly about 140

  6. I am not at all tiny for a vegetarian. I've been one for 7 years and i'm 5'4"  too . I do eat more junk food then veggies but I think the notion that vegetarians are s o skinny is because of lack of nutrients. But 120 is actually in our normal weight range. so tell them to back off.

  7. just don't listen to those idiots that tell you that.

    that happens to me too.

  8. Actually you are right on target. Unless you are big boned you can calculate you optimum weight by 100 pounds for the first 5 feet and then 5 pounds per inch. You my friend are a perfect weight. I got this information from a college level health class so if anyone comments you can give them this information.

As for myself I am about as heavy as I every was in my entire life and I am vegan. I am close to 170 pounds and 5'11. Which is about spot on as well for my height.

  9. youre a good weight for ur height.. perfect. idk why they think that...

  10. i hear ppl say "NOT ALL VEGS ARE SKINNY" but hey i never seen a fat or obeast vegetarian so yea  ur probalby not fat or skinny but UR DEF NOT FAT A FAT PERSON CANT BE VEG AND THATS FOR SURE...

  11. Well, vegetarians are generally leaner than omnivores because they're not consuming anywhere near as much cholesterol and fat as they are.

  12. I actually get people tell me fairly regularly that they're surprised I'm not skinnier. I'm 5'5 and 112 lbs, but I look about 120 because I'm small framed and have big b***s.

I think some people just don't understand the concept of calories and the fact that it's not what you eat, but how many calories you eat. You can be a vegan and fat as a pig if all you eat is soy ice-cream, sodas and vegan cupcakes.

  13. well do you vegetarians not say that eating meat makes you fat? so yeah in general vegetarians "will" be skinner

  14. Considering at 5ft you should weigh 100 lbs, and for every inch after that, add 5 lbs. Your at an ideal weight. The people who tell you otherwise, are ignorant.
