  1. Check http://www.pcoptimizerprodownload.com

With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.

It will help improve your system performance.

  2. WHAT ARE YOUR COMPUTERS SPECIFICATIONS ?

IE; HDD, MAKE, OPERATING SYSTEM, MEMORY, ETC...?

CPU SPEED, FRONT BUS SPEED, ETC ETC ,

  3. The joys of Windows.

I did a fresh Windows install then ran a registry fix program which found umpteen errors ??

I run Disk Cleanup and Defrag weekly and my Virus checker and Spy Ware cleaner most weeks. Tends to be spyware that slows your internet down. I find Spybot good for speeding things back up.

  4. With specs like that and a slow computer and this happens to all your computers, I am guessing you are a heavy user of the PC.

Defrag DOES do a lot and even in 2WEEKS can help. My new computer ran so badly after 10days (I am a heavy user) and I asked around and was told to defrag. I was up to 1.93 average fragments per file already. I downloaded something called Disk keeper or something and it was night and day, chalk from cheese, horse cart to ferrari! With your usage, you would probably need an automatic program to do the job, not the built-in program.

    Hope this helps.

  5. C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\DiskDefragmenter

  6. Have you done regular system maintenance tasks, on each computer? Disk cleanup and defragmentation? You can speed up your systems by deleting temporary internet files that are stored on your hard drive...

EDIT: Vista by design uses more resources on your computer, which will slow down performance.

  7. They get cluttered up by the amount of information & general 'c**p' that you keep on them.

Defragmenting doesn't have much of an effect on NTFS file systems used by XP & Vista, contrary to popular belief.

You need to carry out some housekeeping - delete unused programs & files, or transfer files to blank CD or DVD discs for storage.

Look through your drive to see if there are any empty folders or files.

Delete temporary files: Go start - search - all files & folders (make sure you search hidden files in 'advanced' options). In the search box, type '*.tmp' (without the quotes) & hit the search button. They will ALL be safe to delete.

In your c:\Windows directory, all of the '$uninstall...' files are uninstall records for Windows updates. If your computer is running OK, you can safely delete all of these too.

Also try using a registry cleaner. Try Abexo Free Registry Cleaner from http://www.download.com.

  8. because you should def-rag it  run a anti spyware (spybot  best one out there)

program to clear out anti spyware

    clean and maintain ever week

  9. they must have downloaded alot of junk such as: limewire, bearshare, have infections like viruses and spyware. when their are alot of users on one machine, it tends to turn really slow due to alot of users. try to cleanup your pc by running a system cleanup.

  10. Limewire

    Bearshare

    "Free" fonts/games/p**n

It's where you go, not the computers!

BTW - Defrag doesn't do squat, especially with a 2 month old computer!

  11. To fix a slow computer you can go to http://www.regcleandownload.com .

    Download reg clean for free.

It can clean your computer and restore your system to optimum performance.

It works very well for me.

    Hope that can help you.

  12. Windows always gets too many useless downloads you don't even know about.  It is deliberate to speed up the turn over of new computers...and consequently new operating systems.

Keep a windows computer unconnected to the internet for three years and it will be as fast as the day you bought it.

  13. Scandisk you hard drive then defragment. If it still slow, remove unnecessary programs installed thru add/remove programs in control panel. Try to free some memory so that your computer can work fast.

  14. Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".

Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!

There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

    http://www.make-computer-faster.com/

You can download and scan your computer for free.

  15. I have no idea why your computer may be slow but can offer some tips that may help

Have you installed any software on your computers ( some software can slow computers down )

Have you scanned for viruses, slowness can be an effect

Have you defraged your hard disk? A fragmented hard disk can slow your computer down significantly. windows comes out of the box with defraging software, just search google for "defrag" (without quoutes)

  16. You watch too much p**n and so get loads of viruses off the websites.
