Why does every other halfwit think all mma is the ufc?

It blows me away how many people will generalize mma by calling all fights they hear about the UFC

for example

how do i get the UFC fight with fabor and pulver

They are new to the sport, if you love the sport of MMA then yo need to realize that newbs are the key to the growth of the sport.  Pretty much all of the folks who are educated in the sport already watch the events and know the names so there is no growth available.  In order for the sport to grow beyond that we need the new fans to come on board.  There is no program that you can download on to their brain that will instantly make them understand the last 15 years of developement of the sport.

So instead of being elitist and bashing the new fans how about trying to educate them, have intelligent conversations that show different aspects of the sport.  There is nothing wrong with just now discovering MMA though someone just starting to watch will obviously have a different perspective than someone watching for fifteen years not having seen the evolution of the sport.

Be nice, and maybe with Elite XC being on CBS and Strike Force making it to NBC and IFL on Fox, people will realize there are other promotions sooner than later.

probobly becuase they just see that more often but i have the same problem one other league that was made was called the NAAFS which is the same thng only its ametuar and they arent allowed to knee to the head or elbow to the head but everthing else is legal just as in the UFC

It's just like calling all photocopies xerox, and all mp3 players ipods. The Ufc is the newest fad in the MMA world. These things have a tendency to straighten themselves out, just keep reminding people in a calm and understanding tone, and you'll see better days.

Its just like people saying "i need a kleenex" ...then you could say "sorry, all i have is a tissue, no kleenex" ...
