i know what are you talking about, but I don't know exactly why they lie. Maybe they want to hide something, or they want other people to like them so they lie. and etc. and they don't want to admit it.

because a lot of the time people are afraid of what someone have to say about them, sometimes telling a little lie its better than to hurt someones feelings or your own. an insecure person would act like that.

cause people want to be liked so sometimes they say what they think other people want to hear. we are all guilty.

People lie for different reasons.  

My problem is with people who claim to hate "liars" but are usually pathological liars themselves.   In my opinion, these people are not being honest with themselves because everyone has lied about something at some point in their lives.

The truth is that everyone lies.   Not everyone who lies is a bad person.   There are people who lie to impress others.   There are people who lie to get out of trouble.  There are people who lie to themselves.   There are people who lie to hurt others.   There are so many reasons.

Because if they're sayin they don't lie then they lyin cause that's all they know how to do, LIE.

i know what u mean but i guess id ont know the answer. idk maybe they arent lying to you buy trying to lie to themselves, you know make themselves look better. people are just afraid of the truth, they are afraid of what people think and they are afraid of being mocked and made fun of jus because they were honest. people are scared

Well when you look at it when people say they dont lie they usually are lying right then. There have been studies that show that the reason people lie so much is as a survival skill.

Think about it this way, youre in a jungle and you know some people but to be safe you need a lot of people; a group. To achieve that group you will probably lie in some aspect to make it more appealing for the others to join. Say you lie about how much fruit you have.

People lie to be put ahead of other people, i believe that it is a survival skill. Sry if the analogy was a little off.
