I personally love it because i study language abroad. how can you properly learn chinese from a book? You can't learn it from a chinese man, so go to china!

it is a way to study another culture, lifestyle. it is a way to challange you and everything you believe in. It is a way to open your eyes to a new of thinking.

It is not for everyone but it should be something everyone does.

probably to have a different environment also maybe to learn another language but the main one probz is getting away from parents lol
