  6. they are large, use a lot of gas, and create more pollution than many Japanese or European cars.

this did not used to be a problem, but right now, SUV owners are having a terrible time paying for the expensive gasoline.

  7. The "big 2.5" never had any survival instinct.  Not a bit of it. They just built whatever they wanted to, with no thought about its quality, paying obscene wages to themselves, and then they convinced the public to drive it.  As long as they remained inbred and isolated, it was okay.  When that stopped being the case, they never fully reacted.  They still haven't. Quality is better, but they have struggled (for 40 years) to compete with foreign countries that have the HIGHEST wages on earth.  They don't know what real competition is.

The dealer network is another issue. The dealers have tortured their customers for generations, and a lot of people just get mad over stuff like that.  Have you heard of GM or Ford thinking about cracking down on customer experiences at the dealer?  Nope, not even a whisper.  But if you talk to people avoid U.S. cars, you'll find that many of them were abused by a dealer, and that's how they got that way.

  8. they depend on too much oil and they can't even go far with it compared to other cars.

  9. i think they're unique n cool, specify by everyone don;t generalize =P well i think that people outside the US would agree less that they are bad but people in the US might think its local and made in their country, which doesn't sound fancy

  10. Because their not as well made like the Japanese cars are. I would never buy an American car.
