Why does everyone complain about oil prices when talking about petrol prices?

oil cost around 24p a litre. THE OTHER 90P ON A LITRE OF UNLEADED IS TAX. IT IS MOSTLY TAX THATS PUTTING PRICES UP YOU MUGS!

yes its mainly tax but the oil is the main resource so if that price goes up then petrol price goes up. perhaps the government could could tax but can you really see it.

petrol is made from oil - the price goes up so does petrol so the tax doesn;t go down?

Which is why the fuel protests were aimed at the government andd its taxes rather than the refineries.

Remember diesel as well but I think some greedy sods are making money out of the present suggestion of a shortage.
