Because you are coming off as bragging. Some people aren't as spoiled and as blessed with so much money as you are. Some people actually put good use to their money. Did you know that there are kids out there starving with homes made out of cardboard that can't even afford shoes? That can't even afford flimsy sandals?

Because not everyone can pay for it. If someone asks for make up that's not expensive then just don't answer the question. Like me, I need new makeup, but I'm still looking for a job, can't afford it, my parents are in debt so I'm not going to make them pay for it nor would they, and I don't want to borrow money and get into debt too. Sorry to say it but not everyone is as well off as you. Just don't say anything.

Yeah... coz "everyone" and "expensive" don't go hand in hand. Probably you come off sounding all snooty and proud of your money? I dunno! But when I was in high school, even the very rich didn't go bragging about how affordable a hundred-dollar pot of makeup was. People are touchy when it comes to money matters. Everyone wants the best fruit, but when you are sat on the top of the tree dangling the said fruit in front of their eyes, they are bound to get a bit touchy.

Probably because they think your wasting your money or are jealous if you buy and wear 'expensive makeup' (department store). I do buy expensive makeup also and I'll be at the makeup counters and some people will walk by and be like "That's a waste of money. Is she really going to buy that?" Don't worry about it, get what you want. Don't change anything your saying, say you like it better, it works better for you or you do what you want with your own money. :)

I don't think there is anything wrong with mentioning expensive makeup- if you can afford it and you find the product works best or better then say, a cheaper makeup product then all the power to you. Some individuals prefer to invest in high quality makeup product rather then cheap or poor quality makeup product- just like an individual may spend most of their money on clothing or electronics. Everyone has that 'one' thing that they like to splurge on, if that 'one' thing is makeup then that's all good & others shouldn't be so concerned~ xx
