Why does everyone hate Jeremy Wariner now?

Why does everyone think Jeremy Wariner is a jerk? It may be because he was a complete baby and whiner after he lost in the olympics. He knows his career is over dont you agree?

i dont know him, but he does come off as a jerk. Even that commercial where he is running on that treadmill next to that guy who wants to see the medal, jeremy comes off as a jerk. And then after he lost that race, his bitter *** got offended when the interviewer asked him about his coach change. it was a legitimate question..why did he change coaches when he had won that gold with his first coach? And then why the heck does he wear sunglasses even when it is at night? Hes so cocky, that why it hurt him so much to lose that race. I admire how hard he works and how fast he is but he had it coming.

He wanted to break MJ's record but failed. He started out too strong/fast and ending up crashing/burning.

I never heard that people hated Jeremy now. I think he partially redemed himself in the 4x400 where he clocked in a 43.18 split. I think Merritt was cocky when he said in the interview that he wasn't surprised with his win by 1 full second.

Is he hated?  I am an Aussie and just wish we had athletes with his ability.  People have mentioned MJ's record - Does anyone reckon Usain Bolt might have a go one day and knock it off?  He used to be a 200/400 runner.

Merritt has trained the last 4 years for this Olympic title, he earned it!

Wariner is cocky, because he know how good he is.

Bolt will be 400s, sooner rather than later.
