Question:

Why does everyone hate so much on Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic?

Maria Sharapova and Novak Djokovic are two of the best players on their respective tours and yet day in and day out all that happens is they get smashed. Maria has two early exits at a grandslam (and the french wasn't all that early) and all of a sudden she's a no talent player who should retire. Up to that point she was having the best year of anyone on tour (1 Grandslam, 1 Tier I, and a Tier II title with two semifinals and a quaterfinal appearance). Yet she has one hiccup in her game and all of a sudden she's horrible. I bet no one was saying that after Australia.

And as far as Novak Djokovic goes, what's with calling him arrogant all the time. All he is is confident and there's nothing wrong with that. And now everyone is saying he's too serious. Well last year he was playing and being humorous on court and everyone said he was too laid-back so he straightened up and got serious; now everyone wants him to lighten up.

Everyone should just appreciate these athletes.

  1. ohmygosh! i love maria sharapova and novak djokovic!

i still think theyre the bestttt :]

  2. Thats easy: ARROGANCE!!!

Both are two players who are quite arrogant. Maria struts her stuff around as if she owns the court and Novak thinks he is God's gift to tennis.

It wouldn't hurt if Maria learned to smile once in a while and be nice to other players and Novak just needs to shut his mouth once in a while.

Both have had rude awakenings as to how they are percieved by others in their horrible losses. I just hope they learn from it but sadly it looks as if we will still have the snotty Maria and loud mouth Novak around for quite a while

  3. umm im independent

    im undecided

  4. Jealously.

  5. THANK YOU!

  6. For starters, Djokovic could do with a little more class and stop sounding like a broken record: "I am #3 in the entire world, I have won a grand slam tournament which are the hardest tournaments to win in the history of the human race, I have won several masters series which are the second hardest tournaments for any human being to win, I have beaten Roger Federer to win some of these tournaments, Nadal is still the best on clay but I feel I am not far behind, this of course gives me a lot of confidence whenever I step on the court, blah blah blah....not a people's champion. And Sharapova? She's nothing but a spoiled ***** who harbors nothing but absolute hate for anything she perceives to stand in the way of her sucess! Her dad is also a tool!

  7. everyone?! not sure about that.but maybe you should not bother about what others say about him or her too much as he and she showed they can win on big occasion like others .

  8. Sharapova and Djokovic are perceived as very arrogant players.

In the infamous Miami match against Tatiana Golovin, Sharapova was booed and jeered by the crowd for her indifference and complete lack of concern when Golovin suffered an injury that forced her to retire in their match.

And what can I say about Djokovic's arrogance!! The stories are too many. In a recent interview in the Canadian Masters, Djokovic said that he is very confident since he has a "couple" of grandslams under his belt. I mean cmon, the guy has won just ONE slam and he talks like he is a multiple slam winner and GODS gift to tennis

So are you really that surprised that there is a world out there that is not a big fan of these two players?

  9. pretty much jealousy

both are successful twenty-somethings that are somewhat overly confident. that may anger a few people but in tennis you gotta be confident to win matches, theyre just more vocal about. it doesnt help that theyre good looking either
