Why does everyone have such a hang up about the England rugby team's chances - or not - in the World Cup?

They won the RWC four years ago and probably won't win it this year but so what - I just don't get all the anti-England fervour. Is it envy or what? I don't see England supporters dissing other teams that way. As for biased media coverage - that's the same anywhere - living in NZ you get used to hearing that NZ got third or fourth and not hearing who won or came second!
